Drilling right longeron

Well, the remnants of hurricane Ike blew through on Sunday and knocked our power out for a little over two days, so I didn't get any work done. Fortunately power was restored shortly after I got home from work this evening. First thing on the docket was to drill the half dozen or so #30 holes at the forward end of the longeron.

Then I clamped, drilled, and clecoed the right longeron. I only made one little boo-boo. I forgot to remove this F-705G bracket before drilling and my bit put a gouge in the side. I had actually read about Brad Oliver doing this exact same thing only a few days ago. Sigh. So much from learning from someone elses mistake.

Here's the right side all drilled and clecoed. Looks good!
