I also decided to adjust the position of these straps so the ends just come to the radius of the longeron angle. It looks like that'll help the edge distance on these puppies and after looking at the plans I don't think it'll hurt anything.

Here I'm using a scrap piece of angle aluminum to act as a 1/8 inch spacer. That should position the end of the F-904L so it's just touching the radius of the longeron.

...and here's the finished product. I'm glad I made both of the slight modifications to this design. The edge distance is better and they look nicer, too.
