This morning I went over to my friend Aaron May's house to check out the
progress on his Zenith 750. He's going to have the aft portion of the fuselage
done quite soon. Several other folks from the chapter came to see the project.
It's interesting construction...just a square-ish box for the tailcone. Nearly
everything is pop riveted together.
After getting home (and taking a nap), I went back to work on these stick boot rings.
First task was to cut out the centers with an abrasive disc in the die grinder.
Then a lot of filing later and these were ready to be bent and drilled. Unfortunately,
I managed to bend both of them in the wrong spot. Arg! Frustrated, I decided to walk
away from the project for the day.
