First thing for today was to widen up the slots for the gooseneck arms. There is now 1/8" clearance on each side.

A straightedge with a notch cut in it allowed me to mark the curvature of this sub panel to match the canopy frame weldment bow.

I then offset that curve by about 1/8" so that the top edge of the sub panel would be below the the skin level by 1/8". This will permit sufficient room for the flange strip I'll be making soon and a strip over the top to facilitate water-tightness. Trimming this .032 thick material with snips is quite a workout on the hands.
