Fabricating rib brackets

In preparation for fitting the canopy weldment skin, I needed to be able to attach the ribs to the firewall, so it was time to make some attachment brackets. These brackets need to be .750 wide to accomodate the spacing of the gooseneck arms, pop-up tip-up arms, and UHMW side guides. I made up a little test part to check how the bend would work out.

Not bad...just need to decrease the distance between the two bend lines by .010.

Once these brackets were done, drilled, and dimpled, I used a few soft rivets to temporarily attach the brackets to the little rectangular plates on the aft surface of the firewall.

I then match drilled the ribs to the brackets. Looking pretty good!
