Grinding canopy frame bow weld for panel clearance

I noticed the underside weld for the canopy frame bow was preventing the canopy frame from pivoting fully down over the panel.

To eliminate that interference, I decided to grind away the offending part of the weld using a scotchbrite wheel in a die grinder.

That's a close fit, but it doesn't seem to be interfering anymore.

Made up new little angle brackets for the edges of the panel that were a little wider than those made from 3/4" angle and match drilled them to the canopy strut stop bearing bracket. The wider flange on these brackets will allow me to slot the hole if I ever need to move the stop bearing bracket forward or aft.
