I changed my mind on how to mount the canopy pivot pins and prevent them from rotating, so that
necessitated making new connection tubes. Let me just say that drilling holes parallel and
perpendicular to each other while staying centered on the tubing and in the correct position
is a ridiculously hard job. I'd have been totally screwed if I hadn't had these drilling guides.
After cutting most of the material away for the slots at the ends, I did a bunch of hand filing.
Here, I'm using a drill bit and a scrap of 1/8" thick aluminum to fixture the part at one end
while simultaneously using another scrap of aluminum and a needle file to file the slot at the
other end. I worked on these parts all day and they're not quite done.
