Here is how the canopy pivot pin mounting brackets and tubes will be in assembly.

Time now to make some mounting brackets for the microswitches which will sense that the canopy pivot pins are present and that the canopy is in the popped-down position. Those are teh brackets on the left. Note the sketch of the microswitch mounting holes.
