Painting canopy frame

All that's left to paint on this canopy frame is the outside surfaces of the side rails. It's not actually necessary to paint these as they'll be hidden behind the side skirts which will be riveted on later, but since these rails will be exposed to moisture from rain, I decided that some extra corrosion protection would be a good idea. Simliar to how I taped over the vent holes when painting the underside of the canopy skin, I taped over all the rivet holes to prevent this next spray operation from allowing paint to weep under.

Afterward, I covered the inside surfaces of the side rails as well as the aft surface of the roll bar with masking paper. The frame is now ready to have the exterior surfaces of the side rails painted.
